Abstract

Welcome to the eighth issue of the Australian Pharmacy Students’ Journal, released during a particularly special year as the National Australian Pharmacy Students’ Association (NAPSA) celebrates its 80th anniversary. Inspired by the theme Spark – Celebrating beginnings and new ideas, this issue brings together a collection of student voices that reflect the curiosity, innovation, and passion shaping the future of pharmacy.

Across these pages, readers will find diverse perspectives on topics ranging from professional advocacy and precision oncology to pharmaceutical innovation through 3D printing, research experiences, women's health services, and the expanding role of dermatological care in community pharmacy. Together, these articles showcase not only the breadth of modern pharmacy practice but also the valuable contributions students are making to the profession through scholarship, research, and critical thinking.

We extend our congratulations to all contributing authors for sharing their ideas and experiences. We also encourage pharmacy students, interns, and early-career pharmacists to embrace opportunities for research, strengthen their academic literacy, and contribute to the growing evidence base that drives the profession forward. Most importantly, we hope this issue sparks curiosity, inspires collaboration, and gives readers the confidence to pursue new ideas, ask important questions, and play an active role in shaping the future of pharmacy.
